In an emergency
- Shut off the water or gas at the main.
- Move away from the leak.
- Call (310) 853-5200.
Why gas lines and our services are necessary
Gas lines supply stoves, furnaces, fireplaces and other gas appliances and must meet specifications to prevent harmful leaks. We also clean gas lines for alternative use or better flow. Common reasons to call:

- You smell gas. Shut off the valve and call us.
- Leaks. We locate the leak, shut the line off at the main, dig to reach it, replace the line, pressure test it and restore the site.
- No hot water. Causes may include an unlit pilot light, a clogged line or damage. Discolored or dying plants near a line may signal a leak.
- Erosion. Soil conditions and aging lines increase the risk of leaks.
Quality products
Flexible carbon steel is preferred for moving natural gas from the outdoor source to your appliances, since it reduces joints that could leak. Tracer wire is often used with it to help locate leaks. Polypropylene is used but is not the preferred gas material, and copper is the least preferred — we offer copper repiping only if required. We can also evaluate and adjust compressors for gas delivery.
Requirements for installing gas lines
Installation difficulty depends on the line type and location, and certified technicians are recommended. A typical gas line can cost up to about $1,000; costs rise if the line runs under a sidewalk, sprinkler system or trees.
Why natural gas is a preferred energy source
Natural gas suits cooking, is a cleaner-burning fossil fuel, and is delivered efficiently through gas lines.
